Hale Hui Kai #110

The Condo was very clean but could use a little updating in the Kitchen specifically. This was our 7th stay at this location but first in this unit. The lack of A/C was a little uncomfortable at times. Being on the first floor, it's impossible to leave the door open for the breeze to cool off the unit. The location of this unit is perfect with amazing views!

We went during a bit of a warm spell and since it is also humid it was a little uncomfortable at night not having AC. There was also a bit of a bug problem but otherwise good view and location, loved walking out right on the beach!

Relaxing, no stress, enjoyable; how about just Great!

Aloha! HHK is a absolute dream. We've stayed at HHK 5 times now and it never disappoints. Unit 110 is our favorite unit as we can see and hear the ocean from our lanai (you can hear the waves at night too which is wonderful!). The unit is a bit retro but we actually enjoy that aspect of it...makes it very comfy cozy. Its very clean and the king bed is very comfortable. Its only a few short steps to the best beach ever. Management is very helpful and the property is absolutely delightful. Can't wait to come back. Mahalo Hale Hui Kai!

The condo was great, huge and steps from the beach. The interior was a bit dated but it did not affect our trip. The kitchen was fully stocked, plenty of beach chairs, and comfortable beds. The pool area was nice, but we didn’t use it because we had pristine beach right outside the patio door. I would definitely stay here again. It was great!

If I could give this more than five stars I would! Talk about location! This was oceanfront and only about 40 steps to the sand and water. Hearing the waves hitting the shoreline from our living room was wonderfully relaxing. The staff and Coach who is the manager we all very helpful. Coach even lent us his umbrella! We enjoyed dining at nearby Monkey Pod by Merriman and then further out to Paia for a great meal at Mama's Fish House. We drove up country to Kula Lodge, elevation 3200ft, for lunch and were treated to breathtaking views. We took long walks on the shoreline and saw beautiful sunsets. We will definitely stay here again!

Really enjoy our stay at this condo. It was very clean despite being a little dated. There was no AC but the ceiling fans were adequate to keep the unit comfortable. The management was very responsive and great to deal with as they were clear in all of their instructions and details. Thanks for a great stay.

Overall a decent rental. It’s a great location for beach lovers. The unit is probably fifty feet from the beach with a nice ocean view. The unit is well equipped with plenty of kitchen equipment and basic necessities to start your stay. Overall the unit feels just a bit tired and has no air conditioning and took two day with all the fans running to get the mildew smell out. Still I would say it’s a nice unit. Hale Hui Kai is a nice small complex with a nice laid back feeling.

Awesome location, decent views. Could use some updates to the cupboards and needs A/C.

Great location, kitchen could use an update. Numerous light bulbs need replacing. Only one good beach chair.

We have stayed at Hale Hui Kai a number of times. It is our favourite location in Maui. On this occasion we rented 2 units, 210 and 110. Unit 210 was terrific. Unfortunately, there were some concerns with unit 110 - the first time we have had concerns at Hale Hui Kai. The unit was in need of updating. The kitchen cabinets were peeling in spots. The hallway bath had a plugged drain which was attended to by a plumber after we called. There were dead cockroaches visible as well. Hopefully it can be improved for future visitors.

Property management was easy to work with. Condo was in a great spot, next to the beach without any traffic. The condo itself could use a little tender love and care and a coat of paint, but comfortable and clean and everything worked. Nothing to want. Beds were comfortable. Place had everything you’d need.

This was our second stay at Hale Hui Kai, and we would highly recommend. We loved being on the ground floor and being able to walk directly to the beach. This unit in particular could use a little TLC and updating, but we didn't feel it detracted from our stay. Would definitely recommend

It was great, until the electricity was turned off in condo 110, because the owner hadn't paid their utility bill! We were forced to move altogether into another condo I had rented, with one person sleeping on the couch and another on the floor. There were no other condo's available for us to use. I was told by management that I would be credited for two nights, but, so far that hasn't happened.

On the VRBO site, I wrote it was a 5 star location and 3 stars rental. I wrote this while I was in the airport. When I landed, I learned that my bag was confiscated due to cockroaches.

We really enjoyed staying in Hale Hui Kai. It is located by beautiful beach. The unit is in decent conditions. Hopefully owners of this unit #110 will eventually upgrade the kitchen and get rid of cockroaches

This is our second stay in this particular unit out of a total of 5 stays over the past several years. We love this unit due to the location and we hope that the current owner will maintain the property as the former owner did. Just a bit of updating and maintenence would make it easy for us to continue renting and refer others. Bryce and the rest of the property management team are rock solid. Always accessible and full of information, and with the perfect mix of personality and professionalism!
